Meet Kirstie Ridewood…
What do you love about your job?
What I love about my job is the variety that it brings.
I do mainly work in recruitment, but I also have an aspect of marketing and H.R I’m also involved with so many different departments across the Trust.
I also love the end result of my role is to support the NHS and to support the public.
What are the challenges?
One of the main challenges I face in my job is the vast amount of projects that go on at one time.
Sometimes it can be quite hard to keep track of the projects that you do have going onwith all the different divisions that you’re supporting.
Another one of the challenges is understanding the roles that you’re recruiting for.
There’s so many different roles within the Trust that it’s, that you need to really grasp what is your recruiting for.
Why do you love living in Bristol?
What I love about living in Bristol is how vibrant and welcoming it is.
I find the city being quite active and there’s always something going on.
There’s also something for everybody here in terms of your hobbies.
It’s just such a vibrant, welcoming and energetic city.
What advice would you give to prospective employees?
The advice I would give is that you don’t need to have an NHS background to work for the Trust.
As someone who doesn’t have the experience within the NHS prior to this job, I found it very welcoming and I found that my skills have developed so quickly.
My advice is, apply for the job, apply for the promotion.
You know, if you have the right skill set, there’s, there’s no reason why you won’t do well.
